Yes, your Mk3 will come alive again.
Get these tools:
1. mode2cdmaker v1.5.1 from
http://es.geocities.com/dextstuff/mode2cdmaker.html
Get the binary file, you don't need the source files.
2. Also get the GUI from UbiK v1.6, at same place.
3. Get ImgBurn from
http://www.imgburn.com/
Install all of these. Then you need the modified mode2cdmaker.exe from me. The modified version writes the correct TOC. I can email this to you. Replace the standared mode2cdmaker.exe with the new one.
Then to make a good Mk3 OS CD:
1. Use mode2cdmaker to make a new disc image.
Use these options:
Do not set FORM2 (files names not bold)
File names = ASCII
Single Track, Keep Extension, View Prompt = all not ticked
Image type = BIN/CUE
Volume name = NAV_OS (important!)
Form2 ext = dat
2. Burn and verify the image with ImgBurn. Burn at slowest speed. Use a slow speed CD-R only. Mk3 cannot read CD-RW.
When you open your image with ImgBurn, before you burn it, it will show
Sectors: xxxxx (MODE2/FORM1/2352)
Hopefully you will get zero errors after the verfiy, but I had 9 errors with my media, but OS still worked OK.
