$86+K... may end up trying to figure out a what else falls into that category. I may keep the X5 4.8is and pick up an slightly used Aston Vantage V8.

Funny I'm in the same ballpark. I had a '00 3.0 (manual), '02 4.6is and currently have an '04 4.8is w/86k miles. I average around 17k highway miles a year and feel its about time to replace it before BMWs "deffered maintainance" kicks in.
Ideally I need an SUV to trailer my race car and/or something to cummute daily to work in. My options are to buy the X5 ///M or keep my current 4.8is and purchase a regular car for daily driving.
100k seems like a lot considering it see alot of abuse commuting to work. Maybe a 3yr lease is the best choice, yet thats still ~18-20k a year!
