i don't think this would require soldering. most lcd screens have a ribbon connector that goes into a clamp style slot (thats how they are on laptops, nintendo ds, and many other electronics devices).

i would imagine its just taking the head unit out, dissassembling the casing and unclamping the ribbon cable to remove the old lcd screen... when i get mine i'll take pictures for a write up as well.
