The areo kit is $895 shipped. That is for the the full kit unpainted you would have to get the kit painted at a body shop of your choice.

Would a BMW dealer's shop do the paint/install after ordering from elsewhere (like Morristown?) I'm being quoted $3695 from my local dealer (purchase/paint/install) which sounds really steep. I'm hoping I can at least save some of the cost by purchasing at a discount first.

Yes, Morristown BMW's price is good (list is $1,195) and they include shipping. BUT that only accounts for $300. Your dealer either does not know what the Aero Kit is or they are they trying to recoup most of the MSRP discount that they quoted you. My all in cost at my dealer was $1,800 but they started in the $2,200 - $2,500 range and I had to push them down from there. My dealer said $1,800 was their cost (which I took with grain of salt).

^ thx... someone said their labor price was $840 (with $200 paint price included in there already)... so they ended up paying $1785 or somewhere in there.
The other part of the question - any other dealer would be willing to do the paint/install even if you didn't get it from them right? I don't want to bring it to an untrusted local body shop (don't know any). I suppose I'd just have to talk labor price with the other dealers beforehand. |
