X6M Steering Wheel Question

Was sitting in an X5M this weekend and noticed that the steering wheel was a slick non-textured leather, not the usual BMW textured steering wheel leather. I did not like the X5M steering wheel compared to my current M5 steering wheel, or past 5 and 6 series versions.

For those with an X6M, is it the same non-textured leather steering wheel as the X5M, or is it the more traditional textured version?

It's the same smooth leather on all M sport wheels in X cars.

I originally thought I wouldn't like the smooth leather, either, but having used it extensively now, it is preferable to the textured leather, at least to me, and my wife, as well! Grip is not an issue, which is what I was slightly concerned about.

my wheel is one of my favorite parts of the car..
and hopefully it won't show the wear that the textured wheels usually show after a couple of years
