Brake Performance Rotors

Has anyone had any experience with these rotors or know someone who has used them? I'm in the market to upgrade my brakes and came across these. The black zinc plating looks cool and they offer a lifetime warranty against warping. Suggestions please.

I haven't used them, so these comments are based on the info you provided.

They seem pretty expensive for a purely cosmetic upgrade. Don't expect any performance upgrade, despite the exagerated claims on the web link. I have never had a warping problem with OEM rotors, which incidentally are also coated to resist rust.

Mine rusted after one winter--and the calipers are corroded--I guess they stopped the coating on the '07's. I Will do a G2 coating this spring and paint the rotor hubs.

My calipers rusted too, but the rotors stayed in pretty good shape, better than the non-OEM ones I have used.

I just bought Brembo cross drill rotors for much less. And with a name like Brembo you can be sure they are great, plus they are cheaper. I bought :

2000 - 2001 BMW X5 Brembo Sport Brake Disc Brake Disc Price: $167.65 Qty: 1 Part #: B3935523
2000 - 2001 BMW X5 Brembo Brake Disc Brake Disc Price: $241.95 Qty: 1 Part #: W0133-1665305

From www.autopartswarehouse.com plus free shipping. I also got EBC pads the "red stuff" which is suppose to be very impressive for high spirited driving and light track use. I haven't installed them yet, so time will tell.
