Bluetooth Phone Compatability Question

I have a 2007 BMW X3... Love the car and love the bluetooth. It works well with my Motorola Razr. My boss wants to get me the BlackBerry® 8830 World Edition Smartphone. I know BMW is particular on which phones are compatable. Does anyone have this phone or know if it works? I would hate to get the phone and not be able to use the bluetooth in the car.

I know the site says to only use compatible phones but i own the 8830 (world edition) and will be sync-ing my phone with my X3 (MY 2005) that i just picked up used. I will let you know if it works, even if it isn't on the "list."

a lot of phones work that are not on the list, but may work with limeted functions. Phonebook not transferd to the car, no sms, and so on

How do you transfer the phone book manually if you don't have a NAV on the X3-2007?.. My Razor transfers wirelessly. At least it works.....thanks.
