Install guide - Umnitza Projector53 with angel eyes and more

Hey yall!

With the new (to us) E53 X5 added to our family stable, I was faced with the pretty normal issue of badly clouded headlight assemblies, plus the reality of very old light design and pretty tired bulbs. When compared side by side with my E46 M3, both with OEM lights, the X5 just looked wiped out for bulb life and light quality.

I immediately hit up Umnitza and started looking for options to refresh the whole thing, plus I will freely admit I am a geek for the angel eyes! I am running the Orion V2s already on my E46 M3, so wanted that as well with the change for the X5. I went ahead with the Euro Projector53 plus Orion V2 angel eyes, plus FX-R bulb 50w bulb upgrades as well.

As I have done on pretty much all of the upgrade and refresh projects for both cars, I have documented thoroughly and built out a DIY install guide that I can share with the community. So many folks have helped me, I want to help back the best I can! Oh.. and the change is AMAZING! The light quality both in color, intensity and design is fantastic! This wasn't an inexpensive upgrade, but absolutely worth every single penny thus far.

Check out the DIY I have created, though due to file size restrictions I cant post directly here, but have stored on my OneDrive in the link below.

Any questions let me know, and I always welcome feedback and any follow up. I am always amazed on how far these can reach and have talked with folks literally all over the world from some of the other guides I have created.
