Cat replacement

Hey all,
Does anyone know offhand if the stock catalytic converters are bolt-on bits? I'm guessing so, since all of the replacements have the flanges, but I want to make sure before I order them. I know that I can find out by crawling underneath and looking, but the car is at the shop getting ignition coils replaced.
Also, have any of you guys had experience with Pacesetter or Evan Fischer cats? I'm seeing mostly good reviews, with a few not-so-good reviews.
Thanks!

Well, not many hits on this one. I have the new Pacesetter cats, and now to put them on... Has anyone seen a DIY video, or have any tips on putting them on? They are not easy to get to, from what I can see. It seems taking off the plate under the crankcase will provide some access, but if any of you have done this, I'd appreciate some beta. Thanks!

The original cats need to be cut out and flanges added to bolt new ones in. Easiest to see this is to search eBay. You'll see what they look like.

In the 3.0, they are one piece units from the manifold back to a flange connection to the rear exhaust. Might be different in the V8. Getting the 16-year-old original units out after 240k was not an easy task. But, new ones are on, and I'm just waiting on flange gaskets to reconnect the muffler.

Well, they're done! Took two days, but they're done. The 16-year-old factory exhaust was a beast to remove. Pretty sure I'll be smelling like PB Blaster for a few weeks.
