Sell my Imola X5 buy a Cayenne Turbo

Ok guys,

I wasn't really looking, but, found a really, really, really, clean 2004 Porsche Catenne Turbo, triple back, loaded, 89k miles.

Thinking of selling my 2006 Imola Red X5, 4.4i. It has 108k miles, factory towing pkg, new slotted disk brakes, new belts and idler puller, 20" BMW style 87 staggered wheels with new Michelin Lattitude tires approx 4000 miles on them,, mostly new front end ball joints, etc. and a set of snow tires with 18" factory alloys, less than 5000 miles on them...New floor mats etc... 4 wheel alignment just rechecked and confirmed spot on... If you search on my user name you will find the build sheet...

Only issues I'm aware of is the back up sensors pdc, works intermittently, mirror retracts and go back out, and every once in a while I see a little oil dripping under the drivers side, just behind the front tire...

I really like the X5 but this Cayenne turbo is well, just awesome...

Help me make up my mind!

I was cross shopping those and X5s. From what I gathered, the 2004 is the worst year. You would be (according to rennlist) better off getting a 2006 (same body style) or newer.

Other than that, they are fun trucks.

Just make sure they didn't follow the 10k+ mi oil change interval. Seen a couple of really gunked up Cayenne engines because of it.

Nice vehicles though... but I prefer the e53. Not as powerful, but looks better, and I hate the key being on the left side of the steering wheel with that funky shaped fob Porsche used.

As a side note... I didn't know you could get the 4.4i in imola. Thought it was the 4.6/4.8's only.

To build on Josh's post, Excellence Magazine has a fantastic buyer's guide which tells you the good years and the bad. If you're shopping for a Porsche, spend the $5 on the digital version of the buyer's guide.

I love the keyfob! I had a good chuckle when I realized it was shaped like a Porsche vs the regular Audi/vw version. I would (and still do) play with the flip key all of the time, and when open, is balanced on a table so you can spin it like a top. My BMW fob doesn't do any of these neat party tricks.

The only vehicle worth getting rid of my 3 pedal X for....

Cayenne GTS 6MT or a nicely optioned Cayenne S 6MT facelift
