As it seems to be protocol on this forum to introduce yourself, I guess I'd better do so.

Got my 2005 E53 in June, after wanting one since, oh about 2005. Wasn't ever getting a new one so I had to wait 10 years!

It's a 3.0d (M57TUD30), with black leather and woodgrain interior. It's in very good nick, despite being 10 years old. Fitted with a factory tow bar (a hitch is used on a horse and cart!) and has fully powered seats, 6 CD changer in the back plus a single CD up front.

And it's awesome!

Had a full Service 2 and I've changed a CV boot; now it's good for a full summer of travel.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll discover we are a very friendly bunch of owners, willing to help out.
Incidentally, this is the car I wanted when I was looking around - the diesel variant, in stirling grey with black interior and platinum trim (I know yours has wood-grain). Despite weeks and weeks of searching, I couldn't find what I was looking for, but did come across a relatively low mileage 4.4 V8 that was too good a bargain to pass up. No regrets, except on come occasions when I visit the service station or watch my fuel gauge....
