Depends on whether you have the discipline to manually check the oil level every week or two. The electronic oil level sensor is just a convenience. ...

Well, the error is gone after a nights rest.
Probably will just stave it off till the next OCI but I suspect I won't be so lucky And the issue will persist to a point where one will get he -gong- sound persistently |

No need to waste your oil change. Just wait until the next oil change and then change the sensor. Or if its just killing you to look at the message collect the oil in a clean basin and put it back in the vehicle after changing the level sensor.

My 46 xi has had a bad sensor now for three years. I check the level manually instead. I feel ok doing this since I do not have any leaks on the engine ( every gasket changed 3 years ago). I might get around to replacing it one day.
