I just bought a pair of foglight bulbs on ebay however their H-11 bulbs.....now for the 00-02 X5's don't we use an H1 bulb?

Im pretty sure they (00-02) are H-3, 2003 use H-11. Go here http://www.xoutpost.com/lights/9510-d...light=fog+bulb If you have to buy new bulbs I highly suggest Hoen Xenonmatch H3 for around $40 www.hoen.com

I like Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs as well. I recently posted a pic of an OEM bulb vs a Hoen.

Yes, the early fogs, although listed in many databases (such as Autozone and www.bimmian.com) as H-1's are actually H-3 bulbs.

My two cents, stay away from the Silverstar H-3's. I have these in the X and in my truck and have replaced 3 out of 4 in the past year.

Return those h11 bulbs. I did the same thing and later found out through BMW that x5's use h3 bulbs as of late 2001. I think its a more resilient bulb. I just exchanged my h1 for h3, they are the piaa plasma ion yellow. HOT!!!!
