AUX input directly to BM54 in spare tire area?
Can anyone discuss how to plug in the AUX input adapter directly to the BM54 radio module in the spare tire area? I haven't taken it apart yet, but I bought the AUX input designed to plug directly into the radio as opposed to being spliced into the harness in the glovebox area. I've searched the archives and can't seem to find a write up on this. Thanks, Chris |

It will plug right into the radio module, which looks like the diagram in this article. If there is an existing connector there then you may need to transfer existing pins from the current one and the AUX connector you have into a single connector. Just keep things pin-for-pin and it should be very straightforward.
