HAMAR is on a distinguished road
Now the car looks like a lowrider on the front and like a bigfoot truck at the rear
The dealer told me that when the airbags are totaly flat, BMW says you have to replace them
But he hopes he can rays the car to its former glory through the computer,
I just hope he is right.

Pretty much the only way the suspension will drop is if there is a leak somewhere, and after years of service it is usually the rubber airbags that leak. And when they go totally flat the weight of the vehicle is pressing on them in a way it wasn't meant to, and they usually blow completely out. Especially if someone tried to drive like that. I'd expect the bags to be the sole cause of the issue. Unfortunately the front struts w/air cost more than normal struts...

DO NOT CHANGE BAGS !!!
DEALER KOWS WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
your problem should cost you $70 USA plus dealer's reset / calibration fee .
if you know some one in your area who has GT1 - go there

?????

You have no idea what the problem is without doing a physical diagnosis to see where the air is leaking to cause the sag. Saying there is no problems with the bags is like saying there is nothing wrong with a flat tire..... actual diagnosis trumps internet diagnosis hands down.

The nightmare has begun, both front airbags are blown,
how can this be in a 2005 model with only 43k on the clock ?
The repair cost is estimated $5000
Where can I buy the airbags online ?
Please help me !!!

The front bags are built on to/part of the front struts. ECS tuning has them if you want to buy them and have it done and a BMW specialist indy that has the GT1. (GT1 is required for setting suspension back up with proper ride height)

Just to share my recent experience with my rear air suspension... if a leak on an airbag it not fixed, it will over worked the air pump, and for my case I was lucky to end up with just a blown fuse.... and both rear sides laid flat of the wheels.

I got the fuse and the airbag for both side replaced.

Thanks for the info Weasel.
The only problem is the price, I thought I could get them cheaper.
I will have to pay $1600+shipping +$1600 tax here in Iceland = $3200+shipping+install

Oh, didn't notice you were in Iceland... the dealer may be cheaper to get the parts through then to avoid the high shipping costs.
