how to replace fuel filter for 2001 X5

1. under the driver seat, there is a cover, unscrew all the bolts, about 20 plus i think
2. Remove fuel fuse and start engine, make sure it dies (means out of fuel flow) 3. Replace filter. 4. You will need a new clamp for the 2 hoses attached to the filter, the ones you have are not reusable. |

I am about to replace my fuel filter on 01' 3.0 X5. According to this picture of Darek, which clamps that need to be replaced do you refer to on step 4? I look in the Bently manual and they did not mention anything about replacing clamps. Thanks much for your help. Justin. Quote:

hmm.. on our 01 x5 3.0i, there are some rivets instead of all bolts ... am i looking at the wrong panel? didnt see any with 20 bolts ...
which part are we suppsoed to remove out of these? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=51&fg=80&hl=1 thanks ...
