How to remove the side view mirror?

Hi guys! Can somebody tell me how to remove the side view mirror, driver side? Is it really a delicate procedure like what the dealer said? The SA said that there is a chance that the black trim in the mirror cover and the mirror cover itself will be broken when you replace the side view mirror. Can they just remove the glass without removing the black trim in the side mirror cover? Thanks!

to remove the full mirror, on the bottom there is a little cover you can pry off with a credit card or something then there just unscrew the screws. i am unsure of the glass etc.

Never believe the SA unless he's your brother. And you grew up with him in the same household and have the same mother and father.

lol.
