Waterpump replacement with pics

Replaced the water pump this week. Purchased everything thur BavAuto. Getting the water pump behind the metal pipe was a pain. Ripped a gasket. Lucky for me they sent a spare. After the job was done. Filled the car with antifreeze. Started the X. The car started and shut down. After the 3 tries the X stayed running. Finished filling the tank. Took the X out for a ride. When I took my foot off the gas it would die. Would hold a idle. After 15 min the car was running better. Came home from work took the X out again thinking the car was fine. Same thing. At every light the X would stall. Talked to a neighbor came over to look at it. look over all electrical connections. We burped the X. Took it out for a hour drive. No problem. Got up this morning we outside. Started right up. My wife drove it all day. Can't belive that a little air would cause the car to act up. Well the weekend replacing the valve cover gasket and diff fluid. Wash, Wax.

Oh man. You're a brave brave man!

The days of me working on the engine like that are long gone ... Congrats and I bet it feels like a great accomplishment. Be proud!

Awesome! The tricky part is maneuvering around the pipe in front of the water pump. That gave me some grief. Good job!
