No, it is not the 32mm wrench. It is the tool to hold the pulley not to move while you try to open the clutch fan nut

I use a steel chisel/punch and give a few wacks to the bolt on the fan clutch.
Worked on E30/E34/E36/E46/E53 for me. I thought of fabricating my own special tool a few times. I have the templates for the fan clutch somewhere. Will PM you if I find it.

you can make the tool by modifiying the bar from a speed clamp used by carpenters , should be available from diy stores . someone posted pics on this forum of a modified tool , if you click how to`s at top of page then X5 tips then E38 tips you`ll find info . could you take photos of your diy as the pics on other peoples diy`s are not very good , as you will see if you find them . ok , i found pic by searching water pump on the home page so here is what you need to make tool .
