How to open a mirror - small video

Hi,

for all who are interested how that works. Isn't very complicated if you have done it once. I remember that I was scared on the first try - mirrors are not that cheap.

Sorry for having so dirty mirrors in the video

Good luck.

H

I really don't know how yours come off with what seems like very little effort. When I did mine it was not that easy. I broke some of the tabs but not enough that it needed replacement.

Even knowing afterwards how it comes off/on when I had to do it again, because I forgot to connect something else, it was still a bitch.

Maybe its just mine.

What?
That was so easy... and using the left hand to film the process! So casual!
Just like TwinsPoppa said, even after seeing the inside if the cover and realizing how the cover locks into place, I still can't take it off.
Helmuth, you make me look like a fool!
I'm embarrassed to admit how many days and attempts it took for me to remove the cover! at least there was nobody there to witness the spectacle.

I shall try again as I need to black out my left mirror cover, and will try to be as zen as Helmuth and visualize the cover coming off in my minds eye...

Oooohhhhhmmmmm....

It popped slightly easier because some of the tabs have one or both ears broken. At least according to the other thread (lights with no codes) http://www.xoutpost.com/786639-post39.html

PS: I hope Helmuth doesn't take this the wrong way

Hahaha. Right. I didn't see that myself. So if you have it open break some of your tabs and you can do cool shows popping off your mirror housing from that day on
