Your 02 is sweet! What year is it? That is really cool that your daughter will be driving it.

I didn't do anything to the X5, but I did get a UUC shifter in the mail today!

Yeah that sounds about right. It was a pretty long time without rain.

This summer was pretty dry though. It seemed like we went a really long time without rain but I haven't heard anything. But I did go out of state a few times so I could have missed it. Only the past few weeks has it really started to rain again. Oh look, it's raining right now...

We set a record low for rain in September here in the D/FW area. Around .02"

I drove it! for the past few weeks ive just been driving the M6 the whole time, but i started to miss driving the X5, drove it few times and still love it. Never ever going to sell it. I like it more than the M6 haha. cleaned up the 6 and it was supoposed to rain and it did so it was the perfect excuse for the x5, im soooo much more aggresive in the X5 haha and got to class much quicker than in the m6.

Such a good car.

Yesterday afternoon I stopped by the BMW dealership south of here and had them print out a service history of everything that's been done to the X, so I now have pretty complete records. Seems like most everything was done at a dealership up through 97K, and it's at 111K now, and I am now working with the shop that worked on it from 97K until I bought it. Seems like a lot of the common stuff has already been done.

Today it's in the shop still trying to suss out this front end shudder. Most all of the front suspension has been redone in the last 10K, new rotors when I bought it. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the caliper pins sticking, since the problem comes and goes. Friday & Saturday it was doing it pretty bad. Of course Monday and Tuesday it didn't do it at all. He's going to check wheel balance, make sure the new rotors don't need to be machined, and check the caliper pins today.

Also, while I was at the dealership I picked up 4 of the window clips so I can do that some Sunday this fall when there's no interesting games on.

Does the shudder happen while driving? or on braking only? Sometimes I have a slight shimmy which comes and goes on the highway, I feel like its calipers as well since my entire front end is new, wheels are balanced true.
