so after lowering the 4.8 it was time to...

I'm in workshops all week with my american buddies :-) but I had to strip the x5 (no matter what time I finished which by the way was just after 11.30pm) in order to get them off to SCR in Ashford middlesex to be painted gloss black. This well be done in 2 parts ..the first being the bodykit
so I removed the front bumper
rear bumper
arch moudlings
side steps
grills
bonnet vents
door strips
got to remove the badges and roof bars tonight! I spent ages picking the black rubber things out of the side steps!
Lights are going to be done in lamin x so i took the fronts out and replaced the original xenons bulbs with 8000k jobbies..going to do the HID in the fogs when i get time.
Problem now is I have puppy training tonight and the x5 is in bits, and Simba isnt going in the 7 could be a long walk tonight lol!
anyway here u go



time to polish the exahust pipe tips i think :-)

and a rather pissed of Simba as I stripped his pride and joy! anyway all was forgotton after i gave him a new ball to play with fair swap i think lol 8 months and still growing !

i'll get pics up when its back together hopefully on saturday then its ready for part 2 of paintwork!

very nice, looking forward to see those finished pics. Those rims sit very hot BTW, althogh I can never use 22s over here. 20s are so much of a problem that my friend is trading his 4.6IS wheels for facelift 4.4sport wheels anyway nice job!

Thanks. I thouth that oredring from UK to Georgia would take some time. So today I tried my luck and stick some vinyls into it. (There are not quite same size, so look not that good, but I want to know if they look alike).Also I would want to see picture of that emblem close up. If it's different then I'll order it. If It can be done, then I'll do it, it will be quicker. So here are pics(sorry for stealing thread)
