calling AC experts: AC blows warm air.

Hello, I've searched few AC related threads, and took few simple troubleshooting steeps:

-verified that my Aux fan comes on, and i do have a full range of fan speed settings.
- I've used a hand held AC gauge to measure the pressure on low side and gauge indicated Yellow reading which means system is over pressurized. I did not add any r134a since i bought the X5.
-I'm unable to determine if the AC compressor kicks in since there is no noticeable noise or RPM's increase.

My 03 530i AC blows chucks of ice, and AC pressure gauge test revealed blue zone (filled). Cycling the AC button on/off on 530i also did not produce increase in sound to help determine if compressor kicks in.

The Bentley repair manual points to Heater Valve and refrigerant pressure switch as possible culprits, however it does not offer any diagnostics of the valve and pressure switch besides steps to remove and replace.

Thanks in advance

If you cannot tell if the a/c compressor clutch is applied, consider seeking professional. Additionally, a gauge that indicated yellow has no meaning, a/c pressures are all realitive to the ambient temperature. Consider using the chart for r-134a.
