you can use NavCoder software and sync the time in the car to the time in the computer using the iBus adapter. I use OBD II connector to USB port, the OBD port obciously has an ibus feed in it. A lot of people use Resler adapter

Oh dont worry i will PS by the time you have finished typing (via a wheel/knob) in your destination... i will be well on my way, know the traffic conditions, be choosing from a zillion songs on my ipod with all my album art and using a touch display Its my choice... you guys really need to stop clouding up the forum with pointless opinions about something that has nothing to do with the original post!!! |

Yea but I can set my time. Oh and I use Waze Navi, along with a bell 995pro, along with a jammer, along with a 4.8is. I think I will still get there faster, and be able to tell the time I got there, the mileage my x did, and everything else the OBC does. So there, lol. But yea we just messing. As far as clouding up the forums, keep that opinion to yourself. I think most of the people replying here, have contributed more than you. It's our knowledge, that we already have under our belt , after reading countless posts, of how these aftermarket Navis end up. Had you clicked the search button before buying your Nav, you would have known, maybe even thought about the decision more. We still want to see it, and get follow up on it's functions and longetivety. And don't blame us for pocking fun, we can't always be helping people solve problems that have been beaten to death. Click the search button, and maybe you will find people installing OBC controls in the glovebox. Hmmm. you can set time with your fancy nav after all.

There is more information floating inside the car that meets the eye - from oil temperature, to the speed of the air flowing through the MAF, to "you-name-it"... I was watching the pressure levels at the air suspension on each corner, some weird numbers for the valve angles and whole bunch of other things that I have no idea what they are for... The user interface is for general public and it is seriously dumbed down - we can't expect a busy mom with 3 kids going to a soccer practice and picking up the laundry on the way back from grocery store look at the G-forces that her X is pulling as she is trying to get home before husband comes home!!! For those of us who want those numbers, you can pull them using the CIS-IBUS and a CarPC, which will do much much more than a Java-operated Chinese Nav headunit... I'll be honest, I had problems with the PC portion of the set up, that is why I am not running it, but when the PC was operational, you can do anything you want with a PC using the factory headunit... minus the touch screen, I must admit, touch screen is a nice thing to have...
