Wheel Spacers

just finished taking off my wheel spacers...since i put them on about 1..5months ago...i noticed a vibration on the car...my car, you would feel the vibrations and steering would wobble or shake from 50-70mph...so i couldnt get away with it with normal driving..i thought it was my tires...
so i bought new ones.....
thought i bent the rims....got it check...nope...everything is fine..
thought it needed balancing.....done!....
thought it needed alignment......done!!....

thought it was my link kit arms and all connected to it...got that check.....done!..no problems....so i just dealt with it...till my lady gets in my car after her driving the girly car (x6 50i)...always always since i put them on she always tend to say ....." your car shake and vibrates like if i put my hands on top of the blender that how it feels"....i just ignored her knowing i knew it does shake..till tonight couldn't take the complaints anymore...so i did my research and quite a few has had problems with H&R spacers....25mm........So i took it off..and Bam!!!...

vibration gone!...100%.........tmrow i will check maybe put it back and make sure everything is seated right with the hub...maybe i missed something....
Has anybody had this problem on spacers?>

I had it back in the day on my Lexus. After quite a bit of research I opted not to stress myself or my car out. Another reason I love the 4.8is. No need for spacers. Looks tits and works out of the box.

The real question is... Did you have the right spacers?

They need to be hub centric to the E53.

I think mine are only 15mm, absolutely no vibration.

yes mine are from ECS H&R 25mm....just put them back on today..and vibration is back.....the eff up thing is ...H&R doesnt take them back........maybe ill opt out on a 20mm or 30mm from a different line....its such a big difference when i put them on ...vibration is there and wobble on the steering......from 40-70......but more on the vibration side....

Is it possible your wheel bolts are too long and bottoming out through the rotor? I've seen this before.

Are your spacers installed at the front?
If yes, did your alignment shop checked for loose bushings and ball joints?
Having spacers create a longer lever arm on suspension parts, and since the front is connected to the steering wheel, vibrations are more noticeable.

Three possibilities.

1) The spacers are defective or out of true.

2) When installed, the spacer and/or the wheel hub are not seated properly.

3) Since mounting the wheel where it wasn't designed to be located puts more load on the suspension, the spacers could trigger a vibration related to something being loose in the steering or suspension; it could be not loose enough to do it (yet) with the wheels mounted in the stock location, but loose enough to have a vibration with the additional suspension loads caused by the spacer.

Safest thing to do is to ditch the spacers.
