E53 X5 Cluster Speedometer Pixel Repair Raffle Give-Away!!

**MODERATORS: Please notify me if this is not within Xoutpost guidelines. I will remove/adjust accordingly.**

Summer is right around the corner, and while we await the 100 degree weather, Mother Nature will bless most of us with her glorious golden showers (pollen) and long lit days. Unfortunately, the hot weather tends to make some things a bit worse, and by things, I mean the pixels in your dash. Well, no worries. Why? Because it's time for another cluster repair give-away.

What is included in the raffle?

The winner will receive a free cluster repair, minus the cost of shipping. This also includes a lifetime warranty on pixel related issues, burnt out back lighting bulb replacement, and a cleaning. If your unit requires a LCD replacement, it will be an additional $30, and also covered under the lifetime warranty.

How do I participate?

I will start a numerical list. Once the spots are filled, simply add your name and the following number. You will be notified if you are the winner.

When will the winner be announced?

I will choose a winner on May 26th, Memorial Day (about a month away). This should allow an ample amount of time for everyone to join in and get a chance at winning the give-away.

Sincerely,

George

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
I had my cluster repaired by George last year (bavarianaudio) on eBay, what a wonderful, professional. And timely job

I wholeheartedly support his service and anyone who chooses him for a vendor will NOT be disappointed.

Also I recommend getting the satin silver rings at time of repair!

Unfortunately, not at this time. However, I may be holding another raffle during the summer time.

Guys, please copy and paste the entire list so that I can add everyone to the original post at once. Thanks!

I am using the numerical list format temporarily, only because the raffle is also on Bimmerforums & Bimmerfest. I will triple check the list to ensure that there are no repeat names, and figure out a clever way to raffle off the member names that participate.

Thank you guys for your continued support to these forums. The information is endless, and many of you have helped continue my interest in BMW throughout the past 10 years. This is just my way of giving back to the community. Thanks again and good luck!

Sincerely,

George

I was considering doing it myself. I ordered the cable already but I'm kinda scared. Can you give some pointers? I was browsing youtube but couldnt quite find a video that showed a full disassembly.
