If anyone could answer quickly- I need advice from "THE PROS" :)

The guy is waiting for me to make a decision. Just really quick please. I did a search and could not find it. So here's the deal. I'm upgrading to 20" wheels and tires. The ones I want are 20x10.5 square setup with 275/40/20. My X does not have fender flares. Will I look like a tonka trunk or hot wheels? He said it would be about 10mm aggressive which translates to about 1/4" out in the front. Will it be a bad look? Would you get it? Thanks so much!

I would NOT run 20 x 10.5 all around without fender flares, and with the 275-40-20 tires.

275/40/20 on 10.5 all around is gonna look hella stretched, like VW/Audi kids. Not to mention you will get more tramlining and other negative effects.

I'm guessing you're at some speed shop, I probably would just leave. Plenty of 20" wheels out there that fit proper with the proper tire size, I'm shocked he suggested 275/40 on 10.5" wheels actually.

Oh thank you so much Ricky Bobby for coming through! That is exactly what I didn't want to look like. Can another size tire be run on them? Or forgo the 20x10.5 altogether? These are the rims:

If you're dead set on it you can run 315/35/20 all around on those wheels if you're going to do a square 20 x 10.5 setup.

I will warn you its going to look stupid without fender flares, like an off road rig.

Wheels aren't my taste at all but its your ride, GL!

Don't want the off road look at all. I was going off this deal here
E53 X5 Blaque Diamond Summer Blowout Special - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums. I was originally going for BD-7 or RF-1. Would that be a better fit? And which tires?

bd-5
315/35/20
get spacers for the rear and get fender flares for front and back
be careful with cheap rims, they better be straight and true and not bend under the suvs weight over time

I would pass......save your coin for some nicer OEM rims. Not being a wheel snob, but OEM+ is the best look on these rigs.

The claim is that they are $1900 rims, but they are making room for new inventory.

That's what I really wish I could find some 20" oem wheels asap. My Michelins are dry rotting and instead of buying more 18's, since they're so darn high, I'd rather get wheels and tires in 20's.

If you want a set of oem replica staggered 20s for under 1700 with tires I'll send you the link to the eBay seller I got my 168's from.

No complaints here, I was in same position as you, did not want to buy more 18" tires and so upgraded to 20"
