Estoril Blue 4.8is

I am wondering how many X5 4.8is vehicles were produced in Estoril Blue and if anyone else on this forum has one. I have one and I traveled from Boston, Ma to Houston Tx for it.
Also, if anyone knows how or why there were some early 2004 4.8is X5's produced in this color, that would be great. Thanks.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
It is a damn rare unicorn that is for sure. Only one I've seen was completely mint, and had alcantara seats and Piano Black trim.
PICS!

I always drool when I see the Estoril blue II on the new 3 series..not to mention the San Marino blue on the new 6 series
My 2 favorite blues beside my LeMans blue although LeMans sounds the coolest

There was an 04 in the classified not too long ago. A member in California is selling it.
There must only be a handful of Estoril Blue 4.8iS before BMW changed to LeMans Blue.

Found the thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/classifieds/...-x5-4-8is.html

itscoo, I did think about posting some pics but then figured anyone who already owned an Estoril 4.8is or had any factual information about the rarity of them, would not need to see any pics because they would already know about them and how rare they are. Therefore enabling them to reply to this thread with something USEFUL and pertinent to the thread title... None the less, I welcome any replies to my thread which contain both useful and USELESS information because I would never want discriminate against you for the cute animation you used to get your point across. :-)

Pics of my Estoril 4.8is

I have the cream beige interior with sport seats and the style 87 wheels from the 4.6is. It did not come with factory navigation but I had everything already (wide screen monitor, BM53 radio, & MK4 nav unit out of my E39 Imola Red ///M5). So I bought the retrofit harness from Bimmernav and installed everything. I also added paddle shifters, (Mercedes SL / AMG paddles). And besides the normal preventative maintenance, I have had to replace the air suspension compressor, complete front suspension, (Control Arms- both thrust and wishbones, ball joints and tie rods). I fitted the thrust arms with Powerflex urethane bushings. She had 74,250K when I bought it in September of 2012, and currently has 104,750K. The attached pics are when I first bought it (before the nav upgrade & Paddle shifter mod).
