kahtec blink smart one touch lane changer install question

hi all, I'm trying to install my "one touch turn signal" adapter and I'm just looking to make sure I have the correct wiring.
its a simple device with 4 wires.
one for power for which I'm using a piggyback fuse holder
one for ground and
two wires to go to the positive signal light wires ( i believe the wires are my blueish green wires).

edit: I red from another forum that to get this to work, you have to tap three left and three right side wires at the lcm connector to activate the signal lights. so itsa bit more laborous to get to work, but doable if you have no access to getting the vehicle coded instead as other members are stating can be done

see this link
http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/820085

PS: if coding is actually available for the X5 then of course I'd rather use the coding to achieve this than extra part and wiring, so maybe someone can give us an definitive answer on the coding of this feature

You guys can forget the hardware and just code the vehicle for this feature. It is all ready installed on all e53's if I'm understanding what your trying to do. You can code your X to flash the turn signal 3 times with one push of the indicating lever.

Helihover, I didn't think it was a coding possibility so that's why I bought this $30 device!
Nuts. I'd love to just code it then.
Anyone know where It is in the coding software?

OK I was on the right track. I didn't know they made such device. Not sure were to go to code, but it is possible. You can also code euro emergency flashers too. Someone will chime in and assist you. I would definitely code rather than put a "foreign" after market piece on your ride.

That is not a coding option, at least not in BMW Scanner 1.4. However I did code the front fender side light to flash as a turn signals.

Pretty sure it is for INPA. So I've been told by a local shop who codes.

so after reading many many pages of "coding" on this forum, this convenient land change feature is NOT a possibility on our systems, so this Kahtec land changer device may be the only way to achieve this.

Talk about a roller coaster of emotions. I really miss that feature from my old A4 and my girlfriends GTi.
