Have to admit I push it to single digits every now and then too. Going negative and loading up 25.2 gallons (yup - 25.2) is a real rush. 2002 X5 3.0 265,100 miles 2004 325i 116,500 miles |

I've pushed I believe almost 440 miles before filling up, the 5MT sure helps with mileage. Gosh though it does take FOREVER to put 24.5 gallons in the tank. The main thing is to make sure when you get low in the tank you fill it up during that drive, so the fresh fuel cools the pump. If you drive to E, park it overnight, then drive it the next day on E for a while you're risking fuel pump long term damage IMO. I always run Shell 93 octane and put a bottle of Techron in twice a year for giggles, no fuel delivery issues at 76k and 11 years of age.
