09' Headlight

My driver side headlight turned pink last night. I know this is a sign of the bulb going out. My question is it hard to replace the bulbs? Do i need to take out the bumper, fenders just to get to the headlight assembly? Can someone point me in the right direction? Also, has anyone tried the osram cbi bulbs? Who's the supplier for bmw hid bulb? thanks, Sam

You don't have to remove the fender, just turn the lid behind the headlight assembly and unhook the spring....and remove the bulb and reverse after replacing the bulbs.

No need to disconnect the battery, just make sure the car is off when swapping them out.

Anyone have any photos for this? I got the lid off easy enough, but it's hard to tell what I'm doing with unhooking the spring.

I used the D1S Philips 85415XV C1 Xtreme Vision bulbs and am happy with them.

I use the D2S Night Breaker Unlimited in my M5 and they are fantastic. A lot of light but it's not one of those stupid blue bulbs that people say is white. Definitely a warmer color than the CBI or even venerable 85122/85122+ but that's to my eyes and in an E55 bi-Xenon projector inside of a much older design headlight assembly.

So you are one of the old school hidplanet guys then. I still have some TL projectors laying around from my retrofitting days. We use to have a 2002 Toyota Matrix that I had E55 bixenon projectors in
