Starter Replacement
After replacing my air springs a few months ago. My starter has officially gone out. My questions is what is the best way to access it? Is there a DIY on how to replace my starter? How long does it usually take? I read online that i had to remove it from the top, which would require me to remove my intake manifold. I have a 08 3.0... |

My car has been slow cranking for a bit now and the other day it didnt start up. The lights and dash turn on, but all i heard was clicking when i would push the start button. Also, i would get the increase battery discharge too. I tested the battery and the battery is fine.

But have you ever replaced that battery from original? Mine went after 5 years only. Can't imagine it would get to 8.

Took out the starter last night. It took about an hour to just remove it. I had to remove the valve cover and the intake manifold just enough so I can squeeze my hand in. It was a little difficult to remove the bolt behind the starter, but other than that it was fairly simple to get to it.
I tested out the starter after i pulled it out and it's completely out. |
