FRM Coding Problems - Solved

I decided after taking a break to reconvene on my coding project - 2012 X6M. I have completed all but 2 of the items I wanted to with my coding (comfort fold of mirrors and iPhone ringtone ring-through) but there are a few modules that I cannot access via NCS expert with one of them being the FRM (holds the programming for the mirrors). I get an error every time I attempt to read the module and think it has to due with my daten files but I have attempted different versions still with no success and wanted to see if anyone has any insight into this.

Thanks in advance!

I can upload the daten file I've used to code my E70: I can access all modules. I'll get you the link tonight.

The other thing worth checking, that has caused me errors in the past is the latency setting of the COM port used by the adapter: it needs to be set to 1msec.

To get there go to the Device Manager and select the COM port of the adapter. Go to the "Port Settings" tab and click advanced. In the middle of the window there's "Latency Timer" -> set it to 1 if not yet there...

Thanks so much, I would greatly appreciate that! I have heard that V45 daten files have proven successful to access when later versions did not work. I have confirmed the correct latency settings.

I have a few programs other than NCS expert that do the coding, but i was not able to access FRM of my '12 X5D with any of them. Please share your results.

So I spent a few hours reading last night and from what I found others area stating that must have an updated version of Ediabas (7.2.0) and now I am trying to find a good download for that to see if that resolves the issue.....I will keep you posted.

So to give an update..... I updated the Ediabas to version 7.2.0 and that did the trick! I completely uninstalled the entire old coding setup and installed a newer version I somehow found in a download after hours of searching! I am now able to access all of the modules that in need to finish my coding! I had an older version of Ediabas (6.4.7) and that unfortunately will not allow you to access certain newer modules.
