E70 3.0i Water Pump Differences

Hey All, Just looking for some information. I am in the process of replacing my water pump and T-stat. I have both parts out of the vehicle, and I am waiting for the parts, eta 08/25. I am aware that there are two different part numbers for the water pump, one for vehicles with adaptive drive and 4 zone climate control, the other part number for non-optioned vehicles.

My question is, what are the differences between the two types of pumps and will I be able top tell the differences when the parts are side by side?
Thanks in advance.

BTW the removal process was very slow, but not outrageusly technical. Hopefully removal is over half the work.

I just got mine done yesterday. Which brand did you order? I got the Pierburg brand, just make sure you get the correct part number for your car.

Dealer ended up changing 2 hoses connected to the T-stat and water pump. One hose was $45 and another one was $75 SMH....

Water Pump Differences

Hey Noel, I ordered the Pierburg, unfortunately it was the wrong part number. I did not check my vin close enough, I knew I did not have adaptive drive, however I do have the S4NBA (four climate option).

To answer my own question, It appears the most visible difference is the connector location. New pump due in Thursday, all other parts are standing by. I guess I can continue cleaning the engine...
