Going in for a little warranty work.....
Non mechanic, recent(Jan 2016) owner of a CPO X5 35i (2013) . Still have warranty coverage for about 6 months. Thought I'd take a look at the engine bay and look for leaks, etc.. Was just wondering (see below) if these photos indicate a problem, just routine, or something that warrants attention now. Just dont want a $2500 fix it bill a day after warranty expires. Thank you. Top picture is blowby on the charge pipe. Likely just needs a new o ring inside the charge pipe.
Can't tell the bottom picture what's going on |

Thank you Jyohay..... will bring the need for the replacement o-ring
to the service managers attention tomorrow. The lousy 2nd photo was a close-up of the base of these two refill cannisters. http:// |

hmmmm... just for follow -up....
"Customer states there is oil residue /discharge around the intake tube/ coupler areas. Caused by: Oil residue. Normal for oil residue to around the throttle body on vehicle with turbos due to higher intake pressure. No problem found. " me: will watch closely. |

That's the oring Just change it yourself. Clean the throttle body and monitor it yourself. Honestly if your not getting any codes then there isn't a boost leak so it's not that big a deal. But one day boost may spike and give you a reduced power error. |
