E70 4.8I issue

Hi I have owned car now for about 6 months and having a few issues
after an independent Garage did a coolant change the top hose blew day after emptying all coolant out of engine which i pulled straight over hopefully not doing too much damage
I understand hose is old as car 2007 with 100k on and looks like the hose got hot as brittle
I've just replaced the waterpump thermostat and temperature sensor
My question is the top hose waterpump and expansion tank gets really hot Aswell as the engine while the bottom hose is stone cold Ive bled the system (unless missing something?) and even took plug out of rad again to see if new coolant in there /it is but is this normal as top rad really hot and bottom freezing ?
The heat comes in cabin Aswell as ac the car is booked into stealer in 2 weeks but worried engine might be getting to hot?
Car seems to be lacking power too

I also noticed that I have a vacuum pipe maybe ?? On right hand side of engine that has an open end just under the BMW logo cover near pcv cover does any body know what it is or where it goes

Please re read before you post.... I found it difficult to read, almost quit three times....

- Did you bleed the system by running the internal pump to air out the system?
- Yes, the bottom pipe will be cold for a good long time
- Can you post the image or images of the hose you found loose?
- The over flow container will be failing soon. Watch for discoloration. Once the container starts looking it's black color (and goes a bit brown), change it.

Good Luck Mate.
