and where are you supposed to put that? Won't work in the trunk, looks ugly in the dash.
So all X5's will get the steel battery light? Or just 4.8?
I'm confused.

It seems odd that the 07 would use a cig. lighter, especially if there isn't one in the glove box. Here are some pics of the one in my 03 4.4

Who cares..it's a $2.00 flashlight. I personally didn't buy this vehicle because of a cheap flashlight and I could careless if it was included or not.

I agree, I didn't buy the X5 because of the flashlight, that's pretty obvious, I think, right? Anyway, I think its nice to know what you have or don't and to understand why. I'm sure there were basic, simple features you didn't expect, but were greatful to have / know they were there.

I received the flashlight. My question is what is the small receptacle for in the glove box in Rooster's picture (top left area)?

Rufus...I have a 3.0si and I received the flashlight. I found it in the storage compartment under the cargo floor. (Along with the front license plate bracket.)

JF, Does it look like the one in Rooster's post or like RJRDenver's?

I checked the vehicle and no light. I'll have to add it to my short list when I see the dealer.

This is great hearing from other owner's. The flashlight is small to be sure, but I'm sure there'll be other interesting things to share.
