Glossifier and cleaner

- brake dust is harder to get off, by a long shot. It's a rougher texture even with glossifier.
- you have to get every nook especially around where the lugnuts go in or it will start to peel very easily when you or the shop goes to put on or remove the nuts. The friction is not friendly.
- make sure you put on a good heavy coat, at least 4-5 coats, or it will be very hard to get off because thin just means little specks that won't come off as one.
- I hear it only lasts 1-2 years then you'll have to do it again.

Other than those points, I am happy with it as I changed the color of my wheels back to a stock from gunmetal very quickly and cheaply.

Oh man, I thought that they sold a cleaner that was spray on and wash off for the wheels?

Did you use that?

Yes true, but the spray was like $20 total shipped. Shipping cost is ultra high with every order. I think on the dipyourcar forum they came up with a home-alternative, but I wasn't willing to try.

And to add to my list of gripes - BMW brake dust is horrible and combine that with the rough texture of plasti-dip it's a pain in the ass to keep looking nice. 2 or 3 local road trips to the store and it's already slightly darker in the fronts. I think I'm going to have to go white car, black wheels next time.

I'm gonna order some plasti-dip for my car and try it out. I'm gonna try both products and see how it goes. If I remember I'll post my results here.

I Plasti-Dipped a whole car once. It turned out pretty good and was very forgiving. Ordered all my stuff from DipYourCar including their sprayer. It was a fun/cheap project and I was happy with the results.

Nice dip man. That car looks cool. I wanna buy a sprayer and get into this stuff the right way.

I had a thought........Whatever color X5 I buy, I can change the color with plasti-dip to whatever my emotions make me feel like that day.

.....knowing this, I am going with White or Grey exterior and maybe a Black or Oyster interior.

I'm going to use this All German Auto Car Finder service.

Oh man I love it

Dipped the whole X5. Hot.

I just called All German Auto today to help me get my X5.

They actually buy from the BMW Financial Services auction. Awesome.

I really hope I get a wicked white sport packaged X5 off-lease from a nice old lady that used to drive it back and forth to church.....every Sunday.

Adrian
