Got damn, i love those lights. I already have LCI lights, so i believe I have FRM 3 already. Harness is like $250. Lights will be $3000. Need bumper, fenders and going to need flares. At this point how do I match the rear flares? Just paint them? Geez, I'll be spending a good $3k just getting the body work. and not sure how all the front sensors are going to plug in...

New to X5 E70, found one I liked locally, decided to pick it up for the wife since we were looking for a bigger car for the family. Here is what I did and planned to do so far. Just got it back from my good friend who did a full paint detail, paint correction and Optic Coat to bring back the shine.

Done: full paint detail, paint correction, Optic Coat, full interior LED, license plate light LED, reverse LED light, front license plate bracket, matte black front kidney grille

On order: running board, aluminum pedal set, painted front reflector

Plan to do: upgrade headlight bulb(Orsam CBI), AE LED(LUX), fog light LED(Diode Dynamics xml2), wheel arch flare, front and rear aero kit, 20" wheel and tire, wrap all interior dark brown wood rim to piano black, add some silver accent/trim, may be muffler delete(will see), full front end clear bra, smoke clear piece on tail light, should be more after all these, haha

Re the "wife's 35d"
Can you advise if this has been lowered and what with, I'm running the same wheels on a space grey just a bit more arch gap!
Both cars look very good btw!

Thank you. Both the X5M and X5d have been lowered on H&R 1.2's.
Not sure which style number wheels you have , but they are different from mine. I do like them a lot though.

Picture of my 2009 xDrive48i

Hello - I'm a new forum member. Bought our X5 in downtown Chicago last summer, then drove it out to So Cal.

This picture was part of the dealer ad for it - and I think it was touched up.

I like the vehicle overall, and love BMWs, but am having a terrible time with 'creaking' noises coming from the rear (inside?) of this SUV.
