Ditto: I want to know the size as I have a 3.0sd SD on order and want an emergency spare, is it the same spigot as the E60 535d Sport as i will take it out before i part with it.

I have the 3rd row seat w/o spare so I got myself a used OEM style 210 with 255-55-R18 non RFT from a local reputable tire shop. I only paid $150 dollars. I just tossed it in the trunk. It does take up a lot of space but just like you, I wanted peace of mind when I drove up to the mountains for a weekend ski trip. I did my research here in the Los Angeles area and these wheels and tires are not normally stocked from the local tire shops. They have to be special ordered. So if you happen to be in an area where the nearest dealer is 300 miles, then you're out of luck in the event of a flat tire.

Ah - thanks for reminding me - must get a jack. I will have 20" wheels and the diameter of those is 9mm less than a spare made up of an 18" 209 with 255 55. I'm hoping it won't foul things up too much.

I figured I don't need a jack since I can just call AAA to have them replace the tire. But then again, if I'm in the middle of nowhere, with no cell phone signal, I'm still SOL. So thanks for reminding me, I'll have to pick up a jack and tire wrench.

You still need to be within cell phone signal coverage for this to work.
