http://www.automotivelightingusa.com/ or http://www.bimmian.com/

Shipping is quick with automotivelightingusa and I heard from other members bimmian takes awhile for shipping, I do not know with bimmian since I have never ordered from them until yesterday.

Hi,

Here is your solution.

Get two (2) 9LED - 39mm festoon globes.

also buy two (2) 50 ohm 10w resistors
(here is a good link, http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search)

(the picture is the wrong picture - but you want this item)

then just attach these resistors to the bulb tip "housing" which has the bulbs sitting in them.

You will get error free LED license plates use then

please let me know if it worked/not for you

It's difficult on the E70 because the bulb out warning system is tied to the license plate lights. You can go with our License Plate lights but you will need to wire in resistors.

I fitted some of these tonight after buying them from ultraleds.co.uk.

They look absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately they flicker ever so slightly and also activate the "Check Licplate Light" warning message on the dash. I'm therefore going to fit the required load resistors to cancel out the warning message, and hopefully the slight flicker. I think the flicker is actually caused by the LCM checking the status of the bulbs.

Oz X5 - How has that specific value of resistor been worked out? does the LCM activate an error based on a minimum level of current draw?

Weisslicht makes a great product. You can order from Bimmian. Took me 10 minutes to install both and they look great. They match the color and brightness of the door handles LEDs to give you an idea. Night and day better than stock!
