I was wrong in my earlier post to Nick@Jlevi SW. JleviSW.com, in its E70 section, does have a picture of the correct painted reflector too --- along with a picture of the incorrect reflector.

Hey guys,

We are definitely interested in running some specials for the E70s. That is a great suggestion- package deal with the frames and reflectors. Shoot some more ideas over to us as we want to give you guys what you want. It's not always easy to anticipate what would work best for you guys

We also have pictures of the E70 reflectors up on our site, this is the best DIY I have seen and better than the one supplied to us from Bimmian so if you don't mind, I'll be referencing our customers over here

Great Write-up, I missed where you said you purchased these from. This will be my first mod for sure as soon as I can pick the color X5 I want and place my order, I also think $80 for some plastic pieces is outlandish, can these be painted?? I'm sure I can find a paint guy to do them for A LOT cheaper

You didn't miss it, I didn't say where I got them from. I decided not to be an advertising machine for any of them in this thread. Send me a PM and I'll be happy to tell you where I got mine from.

You can get them painted - on my E46 M3 I had a local spray shop do them for me for about $45 dollars or so.

Ordering them on line save the time / effort / hassle of finding a shop and trying to get them to spray 2 tiny parts, for $30 dollars my time is worth much more.

Cheers,
KEF

KEF,

I never posted a picture of the reflector swap that you helped me with. I'm REALLY happy with it! It's less obvious in real-life than the attached picture --- the car is not normally spotless and reflecting the sun like that...

I now find the standard E70's orange reflector to be jarring. I think that it spoils the look of the car.

Thanks again!

Hey Brian,
Sweet looking ride....I guess you opted for the 18's or 19's for winter? I did sort of the same..got the 212 with 19's for the winter.

Yep, those are my 18" 209 winter wheels. I can't wait for spring so that I put the 20" 214 wheels back on --- the X5 looks so much better with those.

Hey Brian, glad you're happy with it - it didn't take us very long to do at all, and it was my pleasure to help.

All the best,
Keith
