'08 Aero Dynamic Body Kit

I am planning to upgrade my '08 X5 3.0si with the Aero Dynamic Body Kit. I went to BMW Seattle this morning and ask them for the price. Here is what I got:
The Kit: 1300$
The Paint: 800$
Assembly Fees: 400$
Tota: 2500$

My car is now in Seattle. I don't know if this is a good deal that they are offering me. I am wondering if any one happen to know a good and cheap place to get the Body Kit done in Seattle or nearby city (Example: Vancouver, Porland, ...)

Thank a lot for your help,

Get a few quotes. I had an offer for $3600 and an offer for $2300 installed (my lowest I found) so it depends on how much the dealer wants to gouge you. As stated in other threads here, it's only a 1hr job if you do it yourself - just get it ordered and painted if you want to save some money. Some have gotten it installed for only $1500. Get a few quotes.

after a few days of running up and down, dealership to dealership, this is what i came up with.

AeroKit = $1150 - 10% BMWCCA discount = $1050.00

The BMW dealer doesn't have a body shop on site so they give it to a third party body shop to paint, so the BMW dealer was going to charge $900 (cost of painting + bmw dealer mark up) to paint but my CA adviced me to take the parts to the bodyshop myself pay for the painting seperately. Turned out to cost only $350 for painting all 6 pieces ( yes, it's in 6 different pieces)

Once painted, i took the parts back over to the BMW dealer for install, told them to look at the instructions one more time since it only state 1 hour for install. After a few hours, the dealer called me back and said it will only cost me $320 (instead of the original $1200.00) to install including cost for Betalink (glue).

24 hours later, picking up the car today. Will post pics with the Aero Kit.

1050 + 320 + 320 = $1700 installed.

can't beat that deal.

I just asked my dealer today (BMW of Sterling). His quote was $1195 and he gave me the number of a shop to ask for labor because they do not do it anymore.

The interesting part is that he told me that I do not need to paint it because it come painted already in my color which is Space Grey. I doubt he knew what he was talking about. Anyway the part number he gave me was 51190413824 do you think there is any chance it come prepainted?

@tjnptel1: do you happen to have the pictures of those six pieces. I am planning to get it install by my self since a lot of people (also rh71) said that it is very to be done.

If you happen to have the install manual with you, could you please give me few shots of those. Thank you very much, Appreciate it.

@nikos: From what they told me, I am pretty sure that it doesn't come painted. The kits come in the color of black plastic which is not shiny. And of course, our main purpose is to get a shiny body kit which will make the front and the back of the car ourstanding.

I don't have pics of the actual pieces themself, however i will post close up pics of everything tonight once i get the car back.

The install instructions can be found here:

If you have any mechanical skills (which i have none of) then i can't imagine it being very hard.

Yes, that's the same kit but that eBay seller's option is EXPENSIVE!!! $1900 + $250 shipping plus you still have to get it installed...
