How to remove the Navigation screen or iDrive display removal

I've been looking through the forum but there are no instructions on how to remove the idrive display or the navigation screen (what ever its called).

If any one has a pdf or pictures of how to remove the screen I would be grateful.

FYI i have a 2008 x5 3.0si

First post and you want to know how to pull out the nav screen. Hmmm.
If I may ask, now why do you need to remove the screen? If you have a 2008, obviously it's still under warranty - why not take it to the dealer. No offense but the last thing we want to do here is give people ideas on how to steal these things.

Mine didn't come with the NAV either, and I'm considering a retrofit. Would be nice to know how to get the small screen out!

Sure don't. So far I'm looking at a screen replacement in the near future. NAV computers can be found too. (buying used stuff if I can find it) I don't think much else is needed, except maybe a software upgrade.

I'll post the step by step instructions when I get done.
