Carbon fiber-look door pillar accents

Does anyone have these on their X? Any pics? What do you all think of this look?

I've never seen one that was done professionally. Usually crap off the Ebay, and it looks cheap and cheesy (no offense to anyone). If a professional shop does it, I think it would look cool.

Many E53 members have them. Not sure about E70s.

They are not cheap ebay crap. Those carbon fiber door pillars are an e70 OE accessory from the BMW catalog Part # 82110419623.

I do have them on mines one. I think it looks nice on alpine white. I bought just because I remeber how hard it was to keep the shadow line trim clean on my E53. Will post pic tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay, it's been raining the past two days. Anyway, heres are the pics. I've put a quarter on the window sill on two of the photos, so you can get a rough idea how thick the trims are. These trims were installed by a body shop along with my aero kit. From pervious experience with the ebay kits on my integra. This kit from BMW are thinner than the cheaper counter part. They're glued on instead of using 3M double side tape. So far with 2200 miles on the odometer(parked outside most of the time), there's no peeling yet.

Looks great. Are the ones you used from BMW OEM or other brand? Has anyone used the carbon fiber b pillar overlays from MIMO USA? Is so can you share pics?
Thanks

From what I can see, those look great. Where did you purchase and how much? Was the "glue/adhesive" included with the strips? Are you pleased with the look? I think it would look very sporty. Thank you for posting
