Got some New rims and winter tires on our 4.8i today..............

After reading about some of you Guys getting winter set ups on and also driving our 4.8i in the snow, it was Necessary to get some different tires and wheels on it!

I ordered a set of TSW rims (who also make Beyern rims specifically for BMW's) in 18x8 for the front and 18x9.5 for the back. The fronts have a 1" polished lip and the rears have 2.75" polished lip on them. I put on some Blizzak LS-25 run flats on too in the 255/55-18 size.I think that they turned out nice and the truck even rides better and WHAT A DIFFERENCE they made in the snow!

I took a picture between snow droppings and thought that I'd share it with you!

They look nice. I saw the same rims but black today at Mt. Baker. I wish I knew what it was like to have the stiffer ride of 20" wheel. But for now I am still with my 18s.

Nice FreddyG. Doesnt the truck feel so good in the weather? Looks great. These trucks are so confidence inspiring with the right setup.

All the best

Thanks! I Appreciate the props!

I will enjoy the ride and also be safe! The thing that bothers me the most now is the other people driving that are in too much of a hurry!

Thanks for the props!

The black ones would look nice too! I like that these almost give a slight contrast to the Space Gray. My suggestion as far as the 18's go, is to enjoy them because the 20's are nice looking, but the ride of the 18's is noticeably better! That's one way to look at it!

Thanks for the compliments PolePosition!

Your whip was one of the ones that put me over the edge to get the winter set (and the fact that the Dunlop's Stink in the snow ). Seeing your truck on the Blizzak's swayed me that direction and made my research much easier! By the way, yours is Very SICK looking lowered with the 211's on it!

I do agree whole heartedly about the truck feeling good in the snow! I Definitely feel better having the dedicated tire package on it! It drives like it's on dry ground now and accelerates and brakes on snow like a BMW should! It's back to being "The Ultimate Driving Machine."

Thanks again Guys for the Compliments!
