Alignment problem on a brand new e70
I'm back to the dealership tomorrow, but I wanted to hear other people's inputs regarding this situation. Thanks! |

All that needs to be done is to turn the toe adjustments the same amount in the same direction until the steering wheel is centered. Not a big deal, but obviously whoever is working the alignment machine sucks.

Dont give up on this - they need to get this right... Demand to see shop's foreman and take him for the ride.

Bingo! Went to the dealership yesterday, test drove with the foreman, who acknowledged the problem. They did the alignment again and now it's perfect!

Get all documents from the prior two alignments showing before and after alignment print outs.
Yes, they have them. They are attached to the work order and warranty documents they retain in their files. Ask for them. If you are told "Oh, they didnt save them" I would just show up at the dealership and ask for the last two files on the warranty claims done on you car- look through and get the pages. The REASON, is that there is a short warranty on alignment (like 2k or 5k miles as I recall)...if your tires go to hell in short order you want the prior work orders to show something was at issue...
