It wont be available till October (according to their ordering guide). The new 5 series actually gets it in September.

I don't quite understand this option. I've used it on the 7 series and just dint get it. What's the point?

Even in suburbia with the tree-lined streets when you're coming out of a side street the tree trunks are usually in the way... happens to me every damn morning.
I don't think I can trust technology enough to take over though... doesn't it give like a fish-eye view that distorts distance? Can't remember.

It is really cool to just turn it on when your sitting at a light. Makes you feel like scarface sitting in front of security cameras
I tend to heavily rely on my back up camera, usually just take a quick glance side to side then look at the screen instead of turning around. Lemans-do we have any reason to believe the new lights will be coming before the 2012 model ? It would burn my ass if they came out a month after I upgraded.
