Looks pretty neat! I wish I could find a local retailer to "hands on", but it looks like it is limited to Europe right now.

Hmmm....

This thing has wires running off the headrest. I don't get why you wouldn't just strap an iPad to the back seat and get some bluetooth headphones.

Cheapest iPad is $500, times 2, plus 2 car adapters plus a way to attach them to the headrest sounds like a lot more money and hassle.

And that gives you no ability to play DVDs, so you'd have to rip the ones you've got (I've done it, a pain in the ass) or buy them through iTunes (duplicate cost if you already own the title.)

So, quite a bit more cost and hassle actually....

I have a 7 yr old, 3 yr old, and 1 yr... so no iPad for me... NextBase is almost the same as Invisions, same movie on both screens or different movies. Screen is bigger too.

I think there you can actually insert those wires on the side of the seats where the backing meets the leather front..

Yep, they're here - I've had the click 7 duo deluxe (2 independent players) for about 2 months. Works great and very clean look. I have the stanchion mounts in my X5, the wife has the standard wrap mounts in her X3 - we can swap back and forth in seconds. Picture and player quality have been very good - the kids' DVD's tend to be dirty and scratched but we've had no lockup or restarts with the Nextbase. A nice feature is memory - you can remove the player from power (click) and when starting in the other car it keeps it's same place. But here's the really cool part - you can remove a DVD, put in another one, and if the kids change their mind and want the first one back, when you put it back in it picks up where it left off.

The click 7, click 9, and click 7 duo are available - I don't think you can get the click 9 duo yet but I haven't checked the website in a while.

Finally, somebody from Xoutpost with NextBase...

Hey Eyeguy, do you have pics of them installed on your X?

Im thinking of getting the Click10 Duo, dimensions are almost identical to Click9, except the screen is of course 1 inch bigger.

Wow, I didn't know this system was offered. I may have to consider it instead of the Invision..

Here you go - some quick pics so sorry if the players look a bit smudged. I think it's a very neat install, and while it's not quite as polished as Invision, at about $400 it's much cheaper for players which are still very good. I tucked the cord behind the seat trim, and extra cord can be retracted into the "octopus" base. One pic shows the player back - you simply slide the player onto the base til the metal pins click and lock for power - that's it, no switches or buttons. You only push one button (on the right) to release the player. We then move it onto matching bases in my wife's X3 - 2 systems for the price of 1. Since my wife doesn't have the dynamic "shock absorber" head rests that I have in the X5 she doesn't care about the stanchion mounts so hers are the traditional Nextbase mount with velcro straps that wrap around the headrest pad - these came with the set, so with the stanchion upgrade Nextbase is offering we got 2 sets of bases for the players - a complete system to equip both cars. With the "duo deluxe" both players are independent and freestanding but you can select which player is output and which is input with the remote and an onscreen display if you want to play one source through both players. Each of the 2 remotes works with both players - simply point it at the intended target.

I dealt with a very helpful guy at Nextbase named Ken. When I first heard about this system months ago I emailed them and Ken notified me the week the Click Duo Deluxe became available in the U.S. I've had them for 2-3 months.

Hope this helps-
