Lemoning my brand new xdrive 35i

BMW has to step up their build quality. My x5 has 200 miles on it and the seat is creeking. I don't care if it's a fixable problem. A car that I payed 70k for sitting in the showroom floor should not have this bull. Waste of my time. Anyone who is reading this, please devote some time into writing a letter to BMW about their quality.

My 2007 and 2008 E70 had horrible creaking driver seats. My 2011 X5 was silent for about 3000 miles, and now my driver seat is driving me fricking nuts!!! I think it was ard that suggested fiddling with the black plastic piece below the seat controls to stop the noises. I did that, but it was a very, very temporary fix.

Mine is a constant clicking/creaking/popping most noticeably when making turns and going over bumps. Thank G-d, it does not do it with normal city driving or on the freeway. The amount of creaking/clicking though is making me not look forward to driving my car as much...and that is really sad, because I LOVE my X5.

If anyone knows a fix, or can please post their service repair from the dealership for this problem...I know a lot of us will be very grateful.

@ ShantF1.....there is no way a creaking driver seats would be a lemon issue. I agree that BMW (like EVERY other manufacturer) has build issues...but in the big realm of things, our creaking seats are a minor annoyance, not a lemon issue. Sorry!

^ I agree. Although that would be annoying, it doesn't warrant a "lemon" issue.

The best fix is using your audio system to play good music.

All jokes aside things like that annoy me too, but half the time I have a trunk full of golf clubs and books etc flying around so I pay little attention to such issues.

Why would you not allow dlr/BMW to fix the creeking (sic) seat?

I see this may be Lemon #2 for you...

i guess op is a perfectionist. but for a perfect car, 70k can't do it. to get a perfect car op should consider a ferrari or lambo, but it might catch on fire. so maybe a AM or bentley should do it.

It's just that I bought (previously) also a brand new 2009 xdrive48i, every other week it was giving problems (I have posts on this website about the details). I lemoned that and I was happy because they gave me my money back. I gave BMW another chance by purchasing a sport pack xdrive35i, 200 miles in and now this. I will inform their HQ, and see what happens.

Because everytime I take the car to the dealer. They do a half-ass job and mess up something else. I run 5 businesses, I have no time.
